As the Neon release comes closer I gave Neon + Scala IDE another try. I still ran into one problem that was there since M2 (or at least this is how it looks to me): When code is changed and a target platform exists, the scala compiler always uses the existing binaries of the target platform instead of the new code (in the imported plugin project). This leads of course to compile errors. To me it looks like a minor thing which can may be fixed in the nightlies soon to allow scala users to use Neon for development. Can you give a more concrete example of a project setup? ![]() Do you have a plugin project that is a Scala project? I have several scala plugins (OSGI style eclipse plugins with scala only code) and a target platform, that contains even more plugins but also older versions of the plugins in the workspace. This is our usual setup - build binaries (e.g. Nightly) from all plugins and merge them with the platform plugins (e.g. Eclipse plugins and eclipse tools) to have a new target platform. To avoid checking out all plugins into the workspace, we prefer only to import/checkout only the plugins we are working on. The platform contains the binary rest. Users can therefore track the entire process with ease. The software application includes only a single window which displays the burning process. It is basically a stand-alone program that can burn the ISO images quickly and without hassles. The free ISO burner is a small program which hardly requires any installation. Free iso burner review. The launcher will decide, which one to use when launching, but the compilers should always use the checked out plugins first (shadowing the platform ones). This works fine in Mars with the same workspace, but fails with Neon.
